Family Scuffs Suck

So, here is the breakdown. I have one living grandparent and her six kids can't stop fighting about her assets to realize that she is still alive. There were two dads in this equation so the kids are split up 3 and 3.....the older 3 don't see eye to eye with the younger 3. What I can't understand is that they were all birthed by the same mom so why are they fighting over her and her stuff? Isn't it just as simple to try and work together on decisions about her health and home than to fight and make it worse just to realize that when she is gone......time was wasted. I try to remain out of everything but sometimes it is just hard. I just made sure to express to my own dad to make sure and put things in black and white now as well as make sure he verbally tells everyone what his wishes are, who is in charge of what and what goes where and to whom.....sounds simple, I know, but let's see if people really want what is best. Only time will tell.
